Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Originating in 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American families and businesses saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. Each Pella® product meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. How does this impact you? Not only could you notice a drop with your heating and cooling bill, you will help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are specifically designed and made-to-order for your home, meaning no two projects are the same. Our broad spectrum of products make it nearly impossible to discuss pricing without first considering your needs, wants and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it helpful to send out a Pella sales representative who will give you a quoted project price once they have seen the project site itself. To speed up the process, your Pella® sales representative is armed with a computer and a portable printer so that they can give you all the quote information you’ll need—just as soon as the sales representative has had a chance to consider the requirements of the task and aligns them with your vision.

In addition to offering a wide variety of high-quality products to select from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you great window and door products at affordable prices, giving you a chance to make the home improvements you want to while building great value into your Casper area home as you do it.

Can I paint my vinyl windows?

The advantage of Pella's® vinyl windows is that you don’t need to. You can choose the color your want. We do not advise painting your vinyl products, as this will void your warranty. Some paint companies claim that their paint can work on vinyl, but it could destroy your windows if the wrong paint is applied or done incorrectly.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We advise that you use a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning mixture or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. You can also make your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Apply the solution to a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not suggest using glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based as they could leave streaks or create a film that draws moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses reliable installers who are certified to install Pella doors and windows. We require them to complete a carefully crafted set of training courses so that your windows and doors are correctly installed and meet Pella’s strict warranty standards. We look for the best Casper-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Before they can be hired, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are fully covered by liability and workers compensation insurance. Aside from Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Pella provides services and support that “big box” stores can’t match. Our specialty is selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Having a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and quality installers means that your project will have the strength of our whole team. We like to use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. You can easily contact your sales representative or our main office if you have any concerns and we will get to work resolving the issue.

Why is Pella® the right choice for my home?

There are several important reasons why Casper homeowners choose Pella for their replacement window and door needs. Pella is a privately owned, professionally managed company founded in 1925. Every one of our high quality windows and doors are manufactured with high standards and serviced by Pella’s unique Direct Sales Network. Unlike most other window and door companies who sell exclusively through retailers, Pella has dedicated window and entry door stores the U.S. and Canada. This unique way of operating our business gives our customers in Casper a highly personal experience with the backing of a local to Casper, Pella-certified team. Whether you are contemplating the beauty of wood, the strength of fiberglass, or the low maintenance of vinyl—Pella has a high quality, energy efficient and durable solution.
