Basement Windows

Windows are able to make your basement appear more pleasing and boost safety. Large basement windows, sometimes referred to as "egress windows," from Pella of Casper are built to let more light into underground areas than the older, smaller, rectangular windows that are put above ground. They also give you a way out in case of an emergency.

The main difference between basement, or egress, windows and standard windows is that basement windows must be made for an average-sized person to get out in order to meet safety requirements set forth in building codes. You can choose from correctly sized casement, sliding or double-hung windows when you add basement windows. Make sure you totally understand local building codes before you purchase basement windows.
